2020 Holiday Canned Food Drive

This amazing community has yet failed to amaze us with the endless amount of support and generosity.

 

We held our first annual canned food drive on Saturday December 5th from 10am-3pm. With the generous support of four local businesses; Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire, B&H Your Community Grocer and Jonsson’s Independent Grocer we were able to place four of our Chayse’n Trash bins around town serving as donation drop-off stations.

 

With the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers and Harvex Agromart for providing the heated shop, we were also able to pre-sort all items for the donations centres.

 

As a community we were able to fill ONE AND A HALF of our 14 yards rental bins. Collecting;

– over 6710 pounds of non-perishable items!!!

– over $2000.00 in cash and tap donations!!!

 

All donations were donated to our local food banks House of Lazarus Community Outreach Mission and Kemptville Salvation Army.

 

We have no words to express our appreciation to our volunteers, local businesses, friends and family, and to everyone in our community who made this happen.
